Sky Sport Italia is reporting that Swiss defender Stephan Lichtsteiner has agreed to sign a new deal with Juventus.
With his current contract due to expire at the end of the season, the Switzerland international was on the radar of quite a few top sides, but it appears he will be staying in Turin after all.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the 30-year-old will soon put pen to paper on a two-year contract worth around €3 million per campaign with an option for a further year.
The Bianconeri were desperate to keep hold of their prized asset and in turn met his demands despite initially being reluctant to do so.
Stephan Lichtsteiner has proved to be a great signing for the club, having made 105 Serie A appearances since joining from Lazio, scoring 10 goals.
Juventus will be vying Napoli for the Italian Super Cup trophy in Doha on Monday, with the Bianconeri 21/20 to win in regular time.
