Sterling eyeing lucrative new deal

The Mail Online understands that Raheem Sterling is targeting a £100,000-per-week pay rise at Manchester City.

The England international is happy with life at the Etihad Stadium and has a current deal that runs to the end of next season, though he wants his wages to increase dramatically before he puts pen to paper again.

The proposed figure would see him move towards what Kevin De Bruyne earns though it is reported that the former Liverpool man is not seeking parity.

Sterling swapped Merseyside for Manchester in the summer of 2015 and has since racked up one hundred and forty-three appearances in all competitions, scoring forty-six goals.

He won the League Cup in his first season with the club while he played a key role as the Citizens romped to the Premier League title last term.

Pep Guardiola’s side take Fulham on Saturday afternoon and Sterling is priced at 15/4 to open the scoring.
