Raheem Sterling’s future at Manchester City is under question as the Premier League champions have so far failed to reach an agreement over a new deal.
The winger has spent the last three seasons at the Etihad Stadium having signed from Liverpool in the summer of 2015 and has since racked up one hundred and forty appearances in all competitions, scoring forty-four goals.
Half of those strikes came last season as the Citizens clinched the Premier League title and the EFL Cup.
City had hoped to wrap up negotiations ahead of this summer’s World Cup finals in Brazil, with Sterling part of the England squad that has traveled to Russia.
However, the two parties are poles apart in terms of wages and matters will have to be resolved once the twenty-three-year-old’s participation in the tournament is over.
England face Tunisia in their opening game on Monday, and Sterling is priced at 6/4 to score in the game.
