Liverpool are set to allow Raheem Sterling to go out on loan when the transfer window reopens in January, the Mirror understands.
The eighteen year old has barely featured this season having started half of the Reds’ Premier League games during the last campaign, and is set to given the chance to gain further first team experience elsewhere.
However, manager Brendan Rodgers is keen to bring in an experienced replacement for the one-time England international before letting him go, with Sporting CP winger Diego Capel linked with a move to Anfield.
Sterling spent the majority of his youth career with Queens Park Rangers before moving to Merseyside in 2010.
He has made forty-seven appearances for the five-time European Champions, scoring three goals, and won his first senior England cap in a 4-2 friendly defeat to Sweden twelve months ago, while he is in the Under 21 squad for the forthcoming matches against Finland and San Marino.
