Steve Cooper is set to become the new head coach of Leicester City, according to Sky Sports. The report has claimed that after talks broke between with Graham Potters, Leicester turned their attention to Cooper and have agreed a deal with him.
Cooper has been without a managerial role since his departure from Nottingham Forest in December 2023. Leicester were in talks with former Chelse and Brighton and Hove Albion manager Graham Potters, but the two parties could not see eye to eye on a number of issues. So, the Foxes then spoke to Cooper and the two sides have reached an agreement.
Leicester will play in the Premier League this season after winning automatic promotion from the Championship at the end of the last campaign. Enzo Maresca was in charge of the Foxes last season, but he recently left the former Premier League champions to take over at Chelsea.
