Premier League outfit Crystal Palace are on the verge of signing French goalkeeper Steve Mandanda from Marseille, according to L’Equipe.
The experienced shot-stopper has made a decision to leave OM after spending last nine years at Stade Velodrome, and he was heavily linked with a move to English Premier League.
According to the latest reports, England will indeed be his next destination as Crystal Palace are close to agreeing a deal for his services.
Mandanda will be moving to Selhurst Park on a free transfer and the Eagles medical team have now flown to France training camp in Clairefontaine to examine their new signing.
The 31-year-old has been playing second fiddle to Hugo Lloris in the national team for quite a while now, which is why he only amassed 22 appearances for Les Bleus.
Mandanda is expected to take over from Wales number one Wayne Hennessey at Selhurst Park next season.
