Marseille goalkeeper Steve Mandanda plans to leave the club in the summer transfer window, L’Equipe has claimed.
The 30-year-old has spent last eight years at Stade Velodrome, earning the captain’s armband in the process, but it appears that his lengthy spell with OM is coming to an end.
Mandanda has another year left on his current deal, but he has reportedly informed the club chiefs that he wants out this summer.
The experienced shot-stopper plans to embark on a new challenge and while there have been no offers for his services of late, the latest developments are bound to arouse interest among his suitors.
Mandanda started all but six league games during the eight years with Marseille, making a total of 298 Ligue 1 appearances for the French giants.
He was unfortunate to have Hugo Lloris in front of him in the pecking order in the national team and has only made 20 appearances for France.
