Several top clubs have been showing interest in Montpellier striker Steve Mounie, L’Equipe can reveal.
The 22-year-old has enjoyed an excellent campaign despite the fact that la Paillade fought for Ligue 1 survival, netting 14 times in 35 league outings.
Mounie’s impressive showings clearly did not go unnoticed and he could now get a chance to leave Montpellier for greener pastures.
West Bromwich, Fulham and Lyon are all keen on the talented forward and they are expected to step up their interest ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Cottagers even submitted several offers last summer after Mounie had impressed while on loan spells with Nimes, but Montpellier chiefs made a good decision to keep hold of their prized asset.
The striker has so far made two appearances for the Benin national team, scoring one goal in the process.
