Bundesliga side Schlake are reportedly keen on PSV Eindhoven star Steven Bergwijn.
The 20-year-old winger was the standout performer for PSV last season, making 32 Eredivisie appearances and scoring eight goals.
Bergwijn is currently on a right path to surpass the last season’s numbers as he bagged four goals in seven league games early in the new season.
Dutchman’s fine performances have alarmed a couple of big-name European sides and it is believed that AC Milan are one of the sides keeping a close eye on the PSV starlet.
Steve Bergwijn was also linked with Tottenham and Liverpool last summer but the latest reports coming from Germany have it that Bundesliga outfit Schalke are expressing interest in his services.
Schalke are enduring a difficult start to the new campaign and are on the lookout for attacking reinforcements. The German club managed only three Bundesliga goals in six matches into the new campaign and are expected to boost their squad in January.
Bergwijn will not be easily taken away from PSV as his contract with Dutch side runs until 2022
