Steven Fletcher wants to join Celtic in the summer transfer window, according to The Scottish Sun. The former Sunderland striker is a free agent at the moment following his departure from Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship in England.
It has been reported that Celtic manager Neil Lennon is interested in handing the free agent a contract, and that the player himself would jump at the chance to make the move to the Glasgow giants. It has been further claimed that the 33-year-old Scotland international is ready to accept terms which are less than what Stoke City in England are offering him at the moment.
Odsonne Edouard and Leigh Griffiths are the two main strikers at Celtic at the moment. While Edouard scored a hat-trick on the opening game of the Scottish Premiership season, the latter had fitness issues in the build-up to the campaign, as the Hoops chase their 10th league title in a row.
