Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard wants to bring his former Liverpool teammate and Atletico Madrid striker Luis Suarez to Villa Park in the summer transfer window, according to 90min. The report has claimed that Premier League club Villa are ready to hold talks with Suarez and his representatives.
Suarez will become a free agent this summer after leaving last season’s La Liga champions Atletico at the end of the season. Villa manager Gerrard played with the 35-year-old Uruguay international striker at Liverpool.
The striker has made 20 starts and 14 substitute appearances La Liga this season. The Atletico star has scored 11 goals and given two assists in those games. Suarez scored 21 goals and provided three assists in 30 La Liga starts for Atletico last season.
