Premier League outfit Stoke City have expressed interest in signing Dutch striker Bas Dost from Sporting CP, according to The Guardian.
The 28-year-old has become one of Europe’s hottest commodities after an outstanding campaign at Estadio Jose Alvalade that saw him score 34 goals in 31 league outings.
Marseille were one of the first sides to show interest in the Netherlands international, and it would appear as though that Stoke City have joined the race as well.
The Potters only managed 41 goals in 38 Premier League games last term and no wonder they are in the market for attacking reinforcements.
With Wilfried Bony highly unlikely to stay at the Britannia Stadium, Mark Hughes hope to replace him with a proven goalscorer and Bas Dost seems to be high on his wish list.
