Stoke City are ready to make a shock bid for Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez, according to the Mirror.
The Mexico international is currently on loan at Real Madrid, though he has started just five games in all competitions, with just one of those starts coming in the league.
Prior to his temporary switch to the European Champions, the 26 year old racked up over one hundred and fifty-four appearances for United, scoring fifty-nine goals while internationally he has been capped seventy-one times for Mexico.
Louis van Gaal is now set to move Hernandez on, with Stoke ready to offer him the chance to reignite his Premier League career though Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg are ready to battle them in the race to secure his services.
Stoke travel to table toppers Chelsea in Saturday’s late kick-off in the Premier League, and the away win can be backed at a price of 10/1.
