Stoke City have opened talks with West Bromwich Albion over a potential summer deal for Saido Berahino, The Daily Tepegraph has reported.
Tottenham Hotspur, Watford, Leicester City and West Ham have all been linked with a move for the 22-year-old who was involved in a bitter transfer drama with his proposed move to Spurs rejected in several occasions, causing damage to Berahino’s relationship with West Brom.
Stoke City are now reportedly leading the chase to sign the talented striker with Mark Hughes’ side already submitting a £15 million offer to land the Baggies’ star who is entering the final year of his deal.
Tony Pulis is believed to be willing to let go Berahino this time as WBA are lining up a swap deal for Diafra Sakho.
Berahino has scored only four goal in the Premier League last season as he found himself in and out of the starting team for most of the campaign.
