English Premier League side Stoke completed the signing of Robert Huth from Middlesbrough on Thursday for five million pounds (eight million dollars) and are confident Boro striker Tuncay Sanli will also sign.

The Turkish striker was in talks with the Potteries club, with Stoke expected to pay around six million pounds.

Huth, 25, who is hoping to win a place in Germany’s World Cup squad, told stokecityfc.com: “I am grateful to Stoke for the opportunity to play in the Premier League so soon again.

“It was really a no-brainer to come here once I found out that this club wanted to sign me.”
