The Metro understands that John Stones would prefer to stay in the North West beyond this season, in news that will come as a boost to both Manchester City and neighbors Manchester United.
The Everton centre-back has been strongly linked with a big money move over the past few transfer windows and is set to be the target of a number of Europe’s elite once more at the end of the season.
Chelsea are had a number of bids for the twenty-one year old rejected last summer and are likely to reignite their interest following the news that captain John Terry is moving on.
However, the England international is keen to remain in the North West where he is settled, news that is likely to delight both of the Manchester clubs.
Stones is set to play for the Toffee’s this evening as they host Newcastle United, and the home win can be backed at 4/6.
