Stones linked with Manchester City exit

Manchester City could be set to sell John Stones this summer, according to the Mail Online.

The England international has slipped to fourth choice centre-back under Pep Guardiola with Vincent Kompany, Nicholas Otamendi and Aymeric Lapote all ahead of him in the pecking order.

Stones signed for City from Everton for £47.5m just two years ago but could be allowed to leave with both Liverpool and Arsenal monitoring the situation.

During his time with the Citizens he has racked up sixty-eight appearances in all competitions, scoring five goals.

However, he has started just fourteen Premier League games so far this season with the last of those outings coming over three months ago in a 3-1 win over Newcastle United.

He has played his part in his side winning both the league and the EFL Cup this season though with the regard to the latter he was an unused substitute in the final victory over Arsenal.
