According to a recent report from Sky Sports News, striker Daniel Sturridge is in talks with Trabzonspor and Besiktas over the possibility of a switch to Turkish football. Sturridge is without a club after his contract with Liverpool came to an end in the wake of their Champions League success a few months ago. The injury-prone forward has struggled to make much of an impact on the pitch over the last few years, which serves as a massive contrast to his form for the Reds during their title challenge ujnder Brendan Rodgers – in addition to how he regularly performed for England.

A move to Turkey wold certainly give him the kind of change of pace that he needs, but that isn’t the only country he’s considering.

Eintracht Frankfurt have also been sniffing around with the hope of landing the Englishman, but for now, it seems as if he’s still weighing up his options.
