The Express understands that a number of Premier League clubs are interested in moving for Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge when the transfer window reopens.

The England international has not been a regular starter under Jurgen Klopp so far this season and has failed to score in any of his five league appearances.

Struggling trio Sunderland, Stoke City and West Ham United have all been linked with the former Chelsea and Manchester City man and could table bids in January.

Sturridge moved to Anfied in January 2013 and has since racked up ninety-eight appearances for the Merseyside outfit in all competitions, scoring fifty-five goals.

He has been capped twenty-two times for his country and was part of the squads that attended the 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil and the European Championships in France this summer while he was also selected for the Great Britain squad for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games.
