Sturridge linked with Spurs switch

Tottenham Hotspur could be set to make a move for Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge in January, according to the Mirror.

The England forward, who scored the opening goal in the 3-0 World Cup Qualifying victory over Scotland, has been constantly linked with a move away from Anfield since the summer.

He has four club goals so far this season, all of which have come in the EFL Cup – a tally which includes a brace in the win over Spurs last month.

Since signing from Chelsea in January 2013, the twenty-seven year old has made one hundred and two appearances in all competitions, scoring fifty-seven goals – twenty-one of which came in the league during the 2013/14 campaign where the Reds finish runners-up to champions Manchester City.

Liverpool travel to Southampton on Saturday afternoon and Sturridge can be backed at a price of 4/1 to open the scoring.
