The future of Daniel Sturridge’s Liverpool career has long been in doubt, but the striker finally seems set to actually depart the Merseyside club, with West Brom looking like the most likely destination, according to Sky Sports.
Sturridge joined the Reds from Chelsea back in 2012, but has largely failed to secure consistent game time due to injury and poor form, aside from one dazzling season alongside a certain Luis Suarez. Despite that the England international has scored 48 league goals for Liverpool in 98 appearances, reinforcing many people’s belief that he is a prolific goal scorer when fit.
Sadly he has featured just nine times in the Premier League this season, and it is little surprise that he is looking to move on. West Brom meanwhile are having a disastrous season, and currently find themselves down in 19th place, in real danger of getting relegated.
The Baggies have scored a measly 19 goals during this campaign, and will be hoping to get the best out of Sturridge should he indeed make the switch to the Midlands club.
