After spending his whole career playing for English clubs and the last six seasons at Liverpool, it was reported yesterday that Daniel Sturridge is considering all offers, the ones in Europe as well as those outside the Old Continent.
According to The Telegraph, the English striker, who is a free agent after his contract with Liverpool expired during the summer, has altogether 13 offers on the table, some of which include DC United in MLS, Real Betis, Bologna, Marseille and Besiktas. In addition, the Turkish Fenerbahce has offered him a £9 million contract, a weekly fee of £60,000, to play for their club.
Sturridge was recently fined £75,000 and banned from playing the game for the period of six weeks over breaching betting rules by instructing his brother to bet on a possible move to Sevilla. The 29-year-old is now clear to resume playing and is expected to make the decision regarding his future professional engagement this week.
