Bundesliga giants VFB Stuttgart have confirmed they are keen on Gornik Zabrze forward Arkadiusz Milik.
With Vedad Ibisevic and Cacau the only recognized strikers in the squad, the Swabians are eager to sign another forward in the January transfer window.
Rather than opting for an experienced player who would slot right into the starting line-up, Stuttgart are looking to add a talented but very inexperienced footballer.
Club sporting director Fredi Bobic has confirmed reports linking the Swabians with a January move for Polish youngster Arkadiusz Milik.
“It is true, we have already progressed a great deal in the matter, but it is not easy to complete the transfer at the moment,” Bobic confessed to Stuttgarter Zeitung.
The 18-year-old striker has a contract until June 2016 with the Polish club, but he looks set to join a big European club in the near future.
With Borussia Dortmund, Schalke and Everton also showing interest, Gornik Zabrze chiefs are ready to sell the player to the highest bidder.
Arkadiusz Milik has scored 10 goals in 36 league games, while already earning 3 Poland caps.
