Bundesliga strugglers Stuttgart are considering a January move for Chelsea defender Papy Djilobodji, L’Equipe can reveal.
The Swabians find themselves just above the dotted line after the first part of the Bundesliga campaign, with a difficult relegation tussle on the cards.
And having conceded amazing 37 goals in 17 league fixtures, it is hardly surprising they are in the market for defensive reinforcements.
According to L’Equipe, Stuttgart have set their sights on Chelsea centre-back Papy Djilobodji and are expected to make a move in the coming days.
The same source claims that the Bundesliga side hope to sign the Frenchman on an 18-month loan deal.
Djilobodji, 27, joined Chelsea from Nantes last summer, but has only made one substitute appearance in the League Cup since.
The Blues enjoyed a shocking start to the new Premier League campaign, but they can be backed at 7/1 to achieve a top 4 finish.
