(GSM) – Manchester City midfielder Vladimir Weiss is reportedly attracting interest from Bundesliga giants Stuttgart.
The Slovakia international, who spent part of last season on loan at Bolton Wanderers and is contracted with City until June 2012, was a part of the national side that participated in the 2010 World Cup.
And having impressed the German club in South Africa, Stuttgart are looking to replace Germany midfielder Sami Khedira, who departed to Real Madrid, securing Weiss’ signature.
“It is a fact we are looking at the player,” Stuttgart general manager Fredi Bobic told Deutsche Presseagentur.
Reports in the Stuttgarter Zeitung suggest the capture of Weiss is imminent, meaning he could become Stuttgart’s third signing in five days following the arrival of Philipp Degen on loan from Liverpool and Johan Audel from Valencia.
