Bundesliga outfit Stuttgart are considering a move for former Bayern Munich defender Holger Badstuber, according to Sport Bild.
The 28-year-old was released from his contract at Allianz Arena after returning from a loan spell at Schalke, with the Miners also opting against offering him a long-term deal.
But, with Badstuber faring pretty well in ten Bundesliga appearances last season, he should have no problems finding a new club.
While the experienced defender hinted last month that he was looking to leave Germany altogether, latest reports suggest that Stuttgart could offer him a chance to remain in Bundesliga.
The Swabians are not exactly spoilt for options in the heart of defence and they could really use a player of Badstuber’s caliber after returning to the elite division.
