Bundesliga strugglers VfB Stuttgart are on the verge of firing their second coach of the season according to Sport Bild magazine on Saturday.
Stuttgart, who sacked Swiss coach Christian Gross in October, have called a press conference for Sunday where it is expected they will announce they are axing 40-year-old Jens Keller following Friday’s 2-1 defeat by Hannover left them 16th in the table.
The 2007 German champions recorded just five wins in 13 matches under Keller, though, they have secured their place in the knockout stages of the Europa League.
According to the report Stuttgart are in advanced negotiations with Bruno Labbadia, formerly coach of Bayer Leverkusen and Hamburg, who has been out of work since April.
Keller will be the third Bundesliga coach to lose his job this term, following Gross and Cologne’s Zvonimir Soldo.
