Stuttgart have completed the full signing of Hoffenheim striker Vedad Ibisevic with the 27-year-old signing a contract until 2016.
The clubs mutually agreed not to disclose a transfer fee, but reports suggested a valuation in the region of 5.5 million euros.
“I am delighted that the transfer worked. VfB (Stuttgart) are a great club with huge potential,” Ibisevic said.
“I will do my part, that we can bring ourselves back up towards the top in the mid-term. I especially look forward to the special atmosphere in the Mercedes-Benz Arena.”
The Bosnian international has scored five Bundesliga goals for Hoffenheim this season, and Stuttgart coach Bruno Labbadia said he would be a welcome addition.
“Vedad Ibisevic has proven his eye for goal in recent years and we are confident that he will show his skills with us,” Labbadia said.
Hoffenheim have been closing in on Wolfsburg’s Srdjan Lakic and now that Ibisevic has put pen to paper on a deal with Stuttgart.
