Suarez heading to Qatar?

According to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, there is believed to be interest from Qatar in Barcelona striker Luis Suarez.

The veteran forward, who scored in his side’s humiliating 8-2 defeat against Bayern Munich last night, is said to be on his way out of the Nou Camp after many successful years with the club. Al-Arabi, a club based in Qatar, is now in the running to try and sign the former Liverpool star.

While Suarez may not have always been everyone’s cup of tea, there is absolutely no way of denying the kind of impact that he has had on world football throughout the course of his career. He continues to prove that he is far from past his best, and even if he’s lost a step or two, he’s still a whole lot better than the majority of top forwards out there.

For now, though, it seems like his stint in European football could be coming to an end.
