While the Champions League might have stolen most of the midweek headlines, attention will turn back to England’s elite on Sunday afternoon.

With the north London derby promising to be another fiery affair, the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool will also feature on a stacked schedule.

Ahead of a heavyweight Sunday afternoon of Premier League action, we have taken a look at some of the most intriguing betting markets that are available.

Sunday, September 24th

14:00 Arsenal vs Tottenham

Opening their Champions League return with a rampant performance in midweek as they cruised their way to a 4-0 romp against Dutch giants PSV, Arsenal will certainly be looking to lay down another heavyweight statement here. Despite suffering title heartbreak last season as they missed out on the chance to get their hands on a first domestic crown since 2004, Sunday’s hosts have their sights firmly set on mounting another charge this time around.

Marking their return from September’s international break with a gritty 1-0 victory away at relegation scrappers Everton, Mikel Arteta’s young squad have mustered 13 points from their opening five Premier League appearances this season.

Really hitting the ground running since returning from the fortnight interval, the one-time Manchester City coach should also be excited by his side’s continued success at the Emirates.

Including a 3-1 victory against historic rivals Manchester United earlier in the month, the Gunners have suffered just a single Premier League defeat in front of their own supporters since way back on February 15th.

On the flip side, while Tottenham might have claimed just a single Premier League win at the Emirates over the past 14 years, Spurs are riding a recent wave of momentum.

Only continuing to shine since they appointed new boss Ange Postecoglou over the summer, Sunday’s guests should find the mood in their camp at a red-hot high.

Mounting a remarkable last-gasp comeback at home against Sheffield United last weekend as they snatched a 2-1 win, the former Celtic boss has seen his men win each other previous four Premier League appearances.

Heading into September’s international break with an action-packed 5-2 victory away at Burnley, Spurs will be desperate to spring a famous upset when they travel across north London.

Arsenal vs Tottenham Best Betting Markets:

  • Arsenal win @ 3/4 with 1xBet
  • Both teams to score @ 4/6 with BetUS
  • Bukayo Saka to have over 0.5 shots on target @ 3/5 with with Pribet

14:00 Chelsea vs Aston Villa

Marking their return from September’s international break with another downbeat performance last weekend as they had to settle for a 0-0 stalemate away at Bournemouth, Chelsea find themselves in the midst of a public struggle. Finishing in the bottom-half of the Premier League table last season, the Blues have once again struggled to find any kind of stability this time around.

Despite appointing former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino over the summer, Sunday’s hosts have managed to claim just a single win from any of their opening five Premier League appearances this season.

Heading into the fortnight interval with a shock 1-0 loss at home against Nottingham Forest, Pochettino will have a mounting headache over his side’s extended issues in the final third.

Along with remarkably winning just six top-flight showdowns throughout 2023, the Blues have failed to notch more than a single strike in seven of their previous eight Premier League appearances continuing on from last season.

Opening their Europa Conference League with an infamous 3-2 loss away at Legia Warsaw earlier in the week, there is no doubt that Aston Villa are seeking an immediate response here.

However, despite missing out on what they had billed as a golden chance over in Poland a few days ago, Unai Emery’s men have still won three of their last four Premier League appearances and they have impressed with their performances in the final third.

Likewise, bagging 10 strikes in their last three top-flight victories, Emery’s side will also be excited by an eye-catching record against the Blues.

Claiming a stellar 2-0 victory when they last made the trip to Stamford Bridge back on April 1st, it should also be noted that Aston Villa collected back-to-back Premier League victories against Chelsea last season.

Chelsea vs Aston Villa Best Betting Markets:

  • Aston Villa double chance @ 4/5 with Olympusbet
  • Chelsea to score under 1.5 goals @ 11/10 with Dachbet
  • Moussa Diaby to have over 0.5 shots on target @ 20/21 with Luckster

14:00 Liverpool vs West Ham

While Liverpool might have needed a second-half comeback away at LASK earlier in the week, Liverpool would have simply been glad to open their Europa League adventure with a hard-fought victory on foreign soil. Eventually landing a 3-1 victory out in Greece, Jurgen Klopp’s side have continued to shine since opening up the 2023/24 campaign and they will be looking to make another statement here.

Marking their return from September’s international break with another 3-1 win away at Wolves, the one-time Borussia Dortmund boss has now seen his superstar squad win each of their last five straight appearances across all competitions.

Heading into the fortnight interval with a stellar performance as they secured a 3-0 victory at home against Aston Villa, the former Premier League champions have also found a major clinical edge in the final third.

Including a 3-1 win against Bournemouth back on August 19th, Sunday’s hosts have bagged 14 strikes on their five-match winning run.

On the flip side, mounting their own Europa League comeback on Thursday night as they secured a 3-1 win against Serbian outfit TSC, West Ham have certainly caught the eye since opening up the new campaign.

Despite marking their return from the fortnight interval with a 3-1 loss at home against Manchester City, David Moyes’ men have suffered just a single defeat from their opening five Premier League appearances.

However, although the Hammers might have their sights set on mounting a top-six charge this time around, the former Manchester United boss could have a headache over his side’s extended issues at the back.

In fact, Sunday’s guests have failed to muster a single clean sheet from any of their first six contests across all competitions.

Liverpool vs West Ham Best Betting Markets:

  • Liverpool win @ 1/2 with Vegas Land
  • Both teams to score @ 7/10 with Pribet
  • Lucas Paqueta to be shown a card @ 3/1 with BetUS
