Competition: Premier League
Market: Sunderland to get relegated
Odds: 9/2 @ Bet 365

Despite their heroics during the tail end of last season, Sunderland’s woes are far from over. The Black Cats are being tipped to struggled next season, with the side set to lose a number of influential players.

Utility player Jack Colback has left the North-East club on a free transfer to Newcastle United. One of their top strikers of 2013/14, Fabio Borini, has returned to his parent club Liverpool, and it’s unknown if the Reds are willing to loan him out again.

Defender Phil Bardsley, who made 26 Premier League appearances last campaign, has left the club to join Stoke City this summer, while their favoured centre-back pairing will have an average age of 34.5 by the end of the next season.

As a result, Sunderland are being given odds of 9/2 with Bet 365 to go down next season. Since their promotion from the Championship, they have spent six of the last seven seasons in the bottom half of the table (13th or below).
