French daily newspaper L’Equipe is reporting that Sunderland have joined the race for Utrecht striker Sebastian Haller.
The 21-year-old has largely impressed since joining the Dutch side from Auxerre in January 2015, with Utrecht having purchased his contract a month and a half ago.
However, with Haller starting the new campaign with a bang, he could again be moving clubs this summer, as sides from England are showing interest in his services.
After Championship side Brentford submitted a €6 million proposal for the youngster’s services, it has now been revealed that Sunderland are keen as well.
Utrecht reportedly wants between €6m and €8m for their prized asset, and everything suggests the talented forward will be moving to England in the summer transfer window.
Sebastian Haller had shown a great deal of promise after coming through the youth ranks at Auxerre, while notching 14 goals in 19 Eredivisie appearances for Utrecht.
