Sunderland Echo has suggested that the Black Cats are set to make a decision on trialist Emmanuel Eboue in the coming days.
The former Arsenal defender has been training with Sunderland after he had been released by Galatasaray and it appears he has done enough to be offered a contract.
Eboue played full 90 minutes for the Under-21 side against Leicester and manager Sam Allardyce was watching closely as he is in desperate need of defensive reinforcements.
The Ivorian overcame a difficult start to show a lot of promise in the second period and chances are he has done enough to secure a stay at the Stadium of Light.
Emmanuel Eboue, 32, spent last three years at Galatasaray, making 77 league appearances and scoring 4 goals.
He had previously featured in 132 Premier League games for Arsenal and it appears that he is set to return to England’s elite division.
