Competition: Premier League
Market: Gus Poyet next manager to exit his post
Odds: 7/2 @ Ladbrokes

Sunderland manager Gus Poyet finds himself on the brink after a shock defeat to Bradford City in the FA Cup fifth round. The Black Cats have endured a poor season in the league, as well as in the domestic cups, and the supporters vented their fury following the final whistle against the Bantams.

Poyet said he understands their frustration, but it doesn’t change his situation with the North-East outfit. Sunderland are currently 15th in the Premier League table after 25 games. They have picked up just two wins in their last 15, and their FA Cup defeat caps what a disappointing campaign it has been.

Sunderland have only picked up four league wins all season, and are the second-lowest scorers in the division. Being only two points above the drop zone means they aren’t safe from danger, and their lack of wins suggest they won’t be pulling away in the coming weeks either.

Ladbrokes are giving odds of 7/2 for Gus Poyet to be the next manager to exit his post, but Nigel Pearson (Leicester City) is also under pressure after a miserable season following promotion.
