Former Liverpool flop Suso is enjoying a fine time in Italy.
The Spanish international left Liverpool in 2015 after failing to establish himself as a first-team regular under Brendan Rodgers. During the past three years, however, he emerged as a key player for Rossoneri helping his side to successive Europa League qualifications.
Suso amassed 48 competitive appearances for AC Milan this season, adding 6 goals and registering 7 assists in the process.
Having once impressed at the Serie A outfit, the Spaniard has emerged as a potential transfer target for a number of Europe’s top sides.
A return to Liverpool has been mulled in the media and speaking to the Guardian the 24-year-old midfielder revealed he would love to return to Anfield – one day.
“Premier League football is different, I would call it special: I would like to play for Liverpool again some day. I grew up there and it is a big club.”, Suso said.
Suso joined Liverpool as a 16-year-old from Cadiz back in 2010.
