The transfer of Suso from AC Milan to Sevilla is now ‘imminent’, according to Marca.
The winger has recently lost his place in the starting XI under Stefano Pioli, and reports about his potential departure from San Siro have become frequent this month. AS Roma were credited with interest. So were Atletico Madrid, and it seems the 26-year-old will indeed be moving to Spain, but not to the country’s capital. As the Spanish outlet claims, Sevilla have agreed a deal with the Rossoneri to sign Suso on an initial loan for 18 months, with an option to make the deal permanent in the summer of 2021 for €25 million, and the player himself is looking forward to returning to his homeland. There are still a few minor wrinkles to iron out, but there should be no significant obstacles for the transfer to go through before the window closes this week.
Suso has played a total of 153 games for Milan, putting down 24 goals and 31 assists to his name.
