According to a recent report from Corriere dello Sport, the contract talks between Suso and AC Milan have hit a bit of a stumbling block. The report suggests that the club are currently £800,000 short of the demands set by Suso, which could end up derailing the deal altogether.
His current deal is set to expire in 2023, which contains a £32 million release clause. That figure has been drawing attention from a series of top European clubs as of late, including Premier League giants Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.
It seems as if Milan are intent on locking him down to a more structured deal, which would allow them to fend off any bids from other clubs. The Spanish international clearly knows what he’s worth and wants to ensure he’s paid accordingly, because if he isn’t, then there’s a very good chance that he’ll go out and test the market once the summer transfer window opens.
