No fewer than twelve suspensions have been picked up in Serie A following this past weekend’s round of ten fixtures.
The latest suspensions occurred after the Lazio versus Napoli fixture in the Italian capital on Saturday evening where the visitors Napoli edged out Lazio 1-0 at the Stadio Olimpico.
After the final whistle had blown Pasquale Foggia and Stefano Mauri, both of Lazio, challenged the referee and a few harsh words were exchanged.
As a result both players have been suspended for two Serie A Matches. Matches that they will miss are Wednesday’s away clash against Chievo and their home fixture against Catania.
Also suspended after Serie A matches this past Saturday and Sunday are: Ariatti (Lazio) ; Blasi (Napoli); Cirillo (Reggina); Cossu (Cagliari); Curci (Siena); Fabiano (Lecce); Jankulovski (Internazionale); Juric (Genoa); Tiribocchi (Lecce) and Vucinic (AS Roma). All ten have been suspended for only one match.
