Sven struggling on

With the ridicule and hatred of Steve McClaren and the growing hero-worship of Fabio Capello, Sven Goran Eriksson is becoming a distant memory for the England fans.

Just in case anyone was worried about Sven, who had to struggle on for quite a few months with only his million pound salary from England to live on after he left the national team job, I thought we should get an update.

It appears that he is now living in Mexico’s best neighbourhood. He has a penthouse suite in a thirty-storey cylindrical glass tower. By all accounts, it costs a very modest rent of over £10,000 a month.

Eriksson, who is now boss of the Mexican team, seems to have landed on his feet again. Good luck to him!
