Swansea 1/1 to beat Birmingham in Tuesday’s Championship clash

Competition: Championship

Market: Swansea win

Odds: 1/1 @ Bet 365

With the chance to move within touching distance of the playoff positions, Swansea will host a struggling Birmingham City side on Tuesday night.

Starting with Graham Potter’s Swansea side, now enjoying by far their brightest run of form since returning the to Championship, the Whites will be looking to secure a push for the top six. Coming off the back of a 4-1 win over Gillingham last weekend, Tuesday’s hosts have now won four of their last five and are yet to be beaten since Boxing Day. One man who has very much been leading the Swans’ charge is leading goalscorer Oli McBurnie. Bagging a brace in the FA Cup last time out, the 22-year-old has now scored five in his last three apperances.

As for the visitors, in stark contrast to Tuesday’s hosts, things could not be going any worse for Birmingham in the second half of the season. Coming off the back of a 3-1 hammering away at Norwich last week, Gary Monk’s side have now lost their last three matches on the bounce and have freefallen out the top half of the table. Looking for their first win of the New Year, the former Swansea boss will be growing more concerned by his sides form away from St. Andrew’s. Losing their last two matches away from the Midlands, the Blues are without an away win in their last three attempts.
