French daily newspaper Le 10 Sport is reporting that Premier League high flyers Swansea are set to wrap up the deal for Saint Etienne full-back Franck Tabanou.
After several weeks of talks, the two sides have found an agreement over a €5 million transfer fee, with the deal set to be made official in the coming days.
Tabanou arrive at Liberty Stadium to challenge Neil Taylor for the left-back position, although he can also operate as a left winger, having only been converted to defender after joining Saint Etienne.
The 26-year-old, who has another two years left on his contract with les Verts, has excelled in his new position, scoring one goal and setting up another five in 31 league outings this season.
After enjoying several very successful campaigns in French Ligue 1, Tabanou will relish the opportunity to test his skills in arguably the world’s strongest league competition next season.
