Competition: Premier League
Market: Swansea to win against Stoke
Odds: 21/20 @ Ladbrokes

Swansea City welcome the visit of Stoke City to the Liberty Stadium on Monday night, and Garry Monk’s side are desperate to return to winning ways after a slump in form ahead of the clash. Stoke, on the other hand, are in great shape in the Premier League, and have surprisingly fare better away from home than they have at the Britannia Stadium.

The Swans have gone four games without a win in the Premier League, but remain unbeaten in their own backyard. Monk’s side have picked up eight points from four home games against the likes of Newcastle United, Manchester United, Everton and Tottenham Hotspur this season, and are big favourites to pick up all three points as a result. Stoke are no slouches, however, with the Potters picking up more results on the road than in front of their own fans.

Stoke are just one point behind Swansea in the Premier League ahead of Monday’s clash, and the visitors are in much better form than that of their Welsh opposition. Mark Hughes’ men have picked up seven points from a possible nine in the division, and have lot just once on their travels this season. The two sides have been equally matched in past meetings, usually dominating at their respective home ground, but Swansea last won in this fixture in 2014/15.

Swansea have won three of their Premier League meetings with Stoke City, but the Potters have won three games themselves. Two further draws sees their head-to-head record identical, so Monday’s game could be a closer game to call. Nevertheless, Swansea’s fantastic home form should see them coming out on top against their polar opposite club, with Monk’s possession-based style likely to run rings around a physical Stoke side.
