Competition: Premier League
Market: Swansea to appoint Roberto Di Matteo as manager
Odds: 4/1 @ Betfair

Swansea City are still searching for a new manager following the sacking of Garry Monk, but may have to change from their preferred coach due to a breakdown in talks. Marcelo Bielsa was meant to be appointed as Monk’s replacement, but a breakdown in communication has now led the Welsh club to look at other targets.

Bielsa was reported to request more money than Swansea were willing to offer, and now the likes of former Sunderland boss Gus Poyet and ex-Chelsea head coach Roberto Di Matteo are in the frame. The latter won the Champions League during his time in charge of the Blues, and is now favourite to be named new Swansea boss.

Having left his old job with German side Schalke in the summer, talks between the Italian coach and the Premier League side are expected to take place soon as City are languishing in the bottom-half of the table and dropping points on a regular basis. Roberto Di Matteo is 4/1 with Betfair to become the new Swansea boss this season.
