Swansea City back in for Bony

The Mail Online understands that Swansea City are ready to offer Manchester City £13m as they attempt to re-sign Wilfried Bony.

The Ivory Coast international swapped the Liberty Stadium for the Etihad Stadium eighteen months ago but has since struggled to recapture the form he showed for the South Wales outfit.

He has racked up forty-six appearances in all competitions for the Citizens, scoring just ten goals while he spent last season on loan at Stoke City where he also struggled to make a real impact.

He scored just two goals for the Potters – both coming in a 3-1 win over Swansea last October.

Manager Paul Clement is on the lookout for a striker, with Fernando Llorente linked with a move to champions Chelsea and are also looking at Bournemouth’s Benik Afobe.

Having taken four points from their opening three games this season, the Swans can now be backed at 2/5 to stay up.
