Premier League strugglers Swansea City have announced the signing of Swedish full-back Martin Olsson from Norwich City via their official Twitter account.
The 28-year-old becomes the club’s second recruit of the winter transfer window, following the capture of former PSV Eindhoven winger Luciano Narsingh.
Olsson has signed a two-and-a-half year deal with the Liberty Stadium outfit, who are believed to have paid £4 million for his services.
His arrival can be seen as an emergency signing, with Swansea’s starting left-back Neil Taylor having just fractured his cheekbone.
Therefore, Olsson is expected to slot straight into the starting line-up and try and help the Swans escape from the Premier League rock bottom.
Despite occupying the 20th position in the overall standings, Swansea City are just one point adrift of safety and they are available at 17/9 to avoid relegation to the Championship.
