Swansea City are set to compete the loan signing of Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham, according to the Mirror.
The nineteen year old had been linked with a move to newly promoted Newcastle United though the Swans, who are managed by former Chelsea assistant boss Paul Clement, have beaten them to his signature.
Abraham spent last season with Bristol City and scored an impressive twenty- three league goals, a tally that was only bettered by Leeds United’s Chris Wood.
In total, he netted twenty-six in forty-eight games in all competitions unsurprisingly leading him to be named the club’s Player of the Year.
He made two brief substitute appearances for his parent club at the end of the 2015/16 campaign and will now get the chance to gain some more top flight experience with the south Wales outfit, who narrowly avoided relegation last season.
Abraham is currently on international duty with England’s U21s and is set to win his ninth cap against Poland on Thursday.
