The Daily Mail has suggested that Premier League high-flyers Swansea are in talks to sign French defender Franck Tabanou from Saint Etienne.
The Swans plan to recruit a left-sided defender to compete with Neil Taylor for a starting berth and they appear to be hot on the trail of the French full-back.
According to the Daily Mail, Swansea have opened talks with Saint Etienne and they hope to reach an agreement ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Premier League side could face competition from Inter Milan, who are also keen, but they are clearly leading the chase at the moment.
Franck Tabanou arrived at Saint Etienne as one of league’s leading left wingers two years ago, but was then converted to left-back by coach Christophe Galtier.
The 26-year-old has done so well in his new position that he already caught the eye of several top European sides and is widely tipped to leave les Verts in the summer.
