Swansea City are looking towards the Premier League. Former members of the English top flight are not, however, looking towards because they are close to getting a promotion, but because they are looking at players they could loan. And it looks like they have found one at the league leaders’ squad.
According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool youngster Rhian Brewster looks set to join Swansea on loan in January 2020. Brewster is 19 years old and he already knows Swans boss Steve Cooper, who coached him when he was in charge of England’s under-17s. Swansea hope that will give them the edge over a handful of other Championship sides, who are also interested in the player.
Brewster has made two League Cup appearances for Liverpool this season, with Jurgen Klopp now open to him going in search of regular first-team football elsewhere. Swansea can offer him guaranteed game time, as they are known for letting youngsters play and develop.
