Swansea City will need to pay Liverpool £5m if they are to sign midfielder Jonjo Shelvey, the Mirror understands.
The 21 year old is one of a number of players likely to leave Anfield this summer, as manager Brendan Rodgers looks to freshen up his squad ahead of the new season.
The Swans have already opened talks regarding a potential bid with the Reds boss, who was in charge at the Liberty Stadium for the two years prior to him taking the reins at Anfield.
Shelvey has made forty-seven league appearances for Liverpool since signing from Charlton Athletic for £1.7m three years ago, though his biggest impact on the first team was during last season’s Europa League campaign, when he scored four goals in ten outings.
He made his full international debut in the World Cup Qualifiers last October, coming off the bench in England’s 5-0 win over San Marino.
