Swansea to score over 1.5 goals against Hull 10/11 in Saturday’s championship opener

Competition: Championship

Market: Swansea to score over 1.5 goals

Odds: 10/11 @ Bet 365

Enjoying a very successful run over pre-season, a high-flying Swansea will welcome Hull to South Wales for their Championship opener on Saturday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, while many in South Wales were sad to see Graham Potter already make the move to Brighton over the summer, few around the Liberty would have expected the immediate impact that former England youth coach Steve Cooper has made. Coming from a goal behind to snatch a very impressive 2-1 win over Italian powerhouses Atalanta over the weekend, the Swans have won each of their six pre-season appearances and are really started to excel in the final third. Bagging at least a pair of strikes in each of their pre-season outings, fans around in South Wales should be confident of making an early statement when they open their Championship campaign this weekend.

As for the visitors, while Swansea may have one new boss who has hit the ground running, the same cannot be said for Hull. With many around the KCOM sad to see Nigel Adkins step down over the summer, the Tigers turned to former Peterborough boss, Grant McCann. Sadly for Hull, only managing to play out a 2-2 draw against League One outfit Doncaster last weekend, they have recorded just one pre-season win all summer, with that victory coming against Gibraltar side Lincoln Red Imps. Much like the end of last season, Hull’s major problem has been their form on the road. The Tigers managed to record just a single Championship away victory in 2019.
